My Fiance is going to get measured for his tux this weekend with one of his groomsmen. We have been trying to figure out what vest/ties will be for him, the groomsmen, and the fathers. My Fiance wants to look different than everyone else so he has chosen a printed black vest and tie. The groomsmen I think will have the same printed vest and tie as him but in purple, to match the BMs. Now for the fathers… Should they match the groomsmen, match the groom, be different… Any suggestions??

I just put my dad in a plain black vest and tie. I figured he’d be more comfortable in that than some bright color, and this would still allow him to stand out as a special part of the wedding group.

We’re doing that too. Groomsmen are in lilac ties/vests, Mr. Beagle is in ivory tie/vest, Future Father-In-Law & Papa Beagle will be in black ties/vests.

For my wedding we did all the guys in black tuxes. My husband had white vest and tie, GM’s vests and ties matched BMs, and my dad wore gray vest and tie.

i dont want everyone to match. i am having my three sisters wear the same dress, the groom wear black suit with an ivory tie, the two groomsmean wear a black suit with a green tie.. and then my dad’s going to wear a tan suit with an orange tie. matching doesnt have to be literal… just look good together!!!
