Definitely! I was so worried about getting last-minute projects done: programs, menus, eacort cards, guest book. In the end, I just had to let some stuff go. Instead of making a menu for each guest, I made half the amount, and had them placed in-between each setting. I let go of the guest book entirely because there was just no time- nobody even noticed it. I was going to embellish the favors- didn’t get done, but they still looked fine. Once I stopped worrying about whether or not things were perfect, I enjoyed it so much more, and it was great to just have fun with my new husband and our guests. And frankly, I was happy not to spend money on all that, since it all probably ended up in the trash anyway.

Now, a big thing I was worried about was family drama. There was no way to stop thinking about that one until we left. Luckily, nothing happened. I guess people tend to behave if they’re in public. So that was a huge relief.
