I”m so not looking forward to a rehearsal. ok i don’t mind the rehearsal so much, it’s the dinner. I have a big wedding party and there are some people that want to bring their partners. i know the right thing is to let them come but geez it is going to be expensive. any suggestions on where to go so it’s not so expensive? Should i tell them their partners are not invited? oh i can’t do it that would be awful lol, or is it bad just to have the rehearsal and then just let them go their own way? or maybe go for drinks and that’s it? Help!

Can you do it at your or a family member’s home? A laid back bbq type thing? Or a local bowling alley would be fun. You could get pizzas, beer, and nachos and stuff.

We’re having our rehearsal dinner at a local pizza parlor. We’ll get some pizzas and pitchers of soda and beer. It will still be a chunk of change, but relatively inexpensive, for the 30 people we will have there.
I’ve been to rehearsal dinners that were more like BBQ’s: burgers, chips, and potato salad, etc. I don’t think anyone is really going to care what they eat or where, but you really should feed them something!

I don’t think you can ask your bridal party to leave their partners – especially if they are traveling for the wedding!
Can you do a backyard BBQ – that’s what we are doing and I am really excited about it!
