I’ve used them for printing photos and for printing a photo book, and the quality was great! They have really fast shipping too! 🙂

I used them for a small book of our vacation and I thought the quality was decent. I had two photos that were taken at night that are super pixel-y/block-y and look awful, I was really disappointed in how they printed because they were gorgeous photos. But all the other ones looked terrific. The turn around time was great and the price was right! Friends who have seen the book really love it.

I also did our engagement book through Photobook Canada (counterpart of Photobook USA) and I love it. It’s definitely more expensive, but if it’s for a wedding or engagement album it’s really worth it. I got ours for a much cheaper price using a Groupon that came up for Toronto, so it was $35 for a $115 book and I saved on shipping by picking it up myself since their office was closeby.

My mom made me a book of my bridal portraits and it was really nice!  She got the largest size and I believe it was under $50.

Ive heard that they’re pretty good. Also, check out Mpix, I’ve heard a lot of good things about them from other photographers.

The quality is decent.  Not professional, but better than target and walmart I’d say.  Shutterfly’s customer service sucks big time though.  I couldn’t get photos to upload properly in their photo book editor and their customer service couldn’t help me or figure it out either.  They have some major technical issues with some of their programs.  If you are just ordering loose photos you should be fine though.

I used them for our Save-The-Date Cards and they look awesome. I ordered customized Save-The-Date Cards with our picture on Tuesday night and they were in my apartment on Friday with free shipping. It was awesome.

@Bakerella – That probably wasnt Shutterfly’s fault. Photos taken in low light look grainy like that… it’s the trade off for not using a flash. It may look fine in a smaller size on your computer screen, but any photo in low light is likely to look grainy as a print or in larger sizes. Sad but true.

I’ve used shutterfly for calenders and books and have been VERY happy with the quality/price. I I used snapfish for all of the guest photos from the wedding because I had made a flickr.com page for guests to upload their pictures to and snapfish is partnered with flickr.com so that ended up being a bit cheaper for me. I was very happy with the 700(!!!) pictures I ordered!

@Encore: I had a couple of other low light photos in the book that I would have thought had turned out the same and they printed beautifully! It was something weird about those two.. But whatever, the whole book cost me $15 including shipping so I’m willing to live with it 😉

I’ve had some issues with them- color accuracy and print quailty, but I am a graphic designer, so ultra picky. I had to have them do a few things over, which they did do.

Shutterfly is very good at identifying if photos arent good quality. Before you order them, they’ll let you know if they have the potential to be fuzzy so just make sure you upload good quality photos. I’ve had great success with them!
