@HappySky7:  :O Me too!  It was a very poor decision and even poorer experience.  Now I’m wondering if you went to my alma mater, since the Greek world is so much smaller here in Canada. ๐Ÿ˜›

@btothez:  Bleh, no. Sororities embarass themselves too often to appeal to me. Like when this happened, and this and this and then this and this and this and and all of these things. And these are just the stories I remember reading on Jezebel/Gawker alone. I know some sororities do awesome things, but the culture of exclusion and hazing and other crappy stuff really overrides all of that. Exclusive little clubs on college campuses can be a real breeding ground for bad ideas and warped people.

@ChicFoodist:  Yes. I really could have done a lot more with my time and money than pay upwards of $500 a semester to hang out with mean, catty women. You can do that for free. All that BS about sisterhood, charity work, educational opportunities… bullshit. You spend your time babysitting a bunch of assholes who drink themselves into oblivion and spend 99% of their time shit talking every other member. What a joke.

@peachacid:  I also went to a women’s college, so in a sense my whole school was a sorority. But I voted “Polls. I like polls.”

Kappa Delta checking in here, too ๐Ÿ™‚

I’ll be wearing my pin on the ring attachment on my wedding day, and I will have white roses in my bouquet (our flower).  Two of my three bridesmaids are also KDs.

I’m sorry to hear the experience wasn’t great for those of you above…you should maybe try looking into your alumnae chapters in your area, I feel like being an alum has been a million times better than in college for many reasons ๐Ÿ™‚
