Do you put a limit to the amount of speeches during the reception? I know that they can get long and take up quite some time. I know my best man will be giving one, but I also know that my cousin (who is a good public speaker) would also like to give one? should I let both give speeches or only let one of them do so?

Heck yeah, its your wedding….i say let him do it. i find the speeches to be some of the best moments of a reception. Especially if he is a good public speaker i think everyone will enjoy it

Speeches were the best things about our wedding. However, we let there be an open mic policy at our rehearsal dinner. At our wedding, only Maid/Matron of Honor, Bridesmaid or Best Man, and FOB gave speeches. That might be one strategy if you’re concerned about time.
