I would go to the dr.

The way tests work is… having a false negative can happen but to have ANY kind of a positive you Have to have the hcg hormone… so false positives don’t usually occur.

I’d call your dr. monday

@shelbyejkrug: With four faint positives, I’d say eat/behave/take care of yourself as if you are pregnant until you can get to the doctor – and make an appointment as soon as you can.  False-negatives are much more common than false-positives (for several reasons), so with four positive home test results, I’d say it sounds like you’ve got a bun in the oven!

FYI, most doctors will not see you until you are around 8 weeks pregnant.  And many just use the same as the store tests.  The hormone is more concentrated in your pee in the morning, so it’s possible to get a negative later in the day because you’ve peed a lot already.

I would say you are probably pregnant.  Congrats?

Also as far as symptoms go, a lot of people say they start around the time you are describing.  I wouldn’t know since I haven’t gotten pregnant yet… But I’ve done tons of research!  Check out the baby boards or PM me if you want to ask any questions.

When i found out i was pregnant, I had a really faint positive, waited a few days, tested in the morning and then got a really strong positive.

False positives are less common than false negatives. Go and see your doctor to get the blood test done so that you can be 100% sure. In the mean time, as someone else suggested. Eat like you are pregnant, just in case.

I agree with PP – if any of the tests show up positive, no matter how faint the line is, you are pregnant.  It only comes up positive if you have the bHCG hormone in your blood….  That usually shows up around 3 – 4 weeks pregnant with the high sensitivity of the new tests now and the line will only get darker as you get more of the hormone in your blood.

Just to be on the safe side, I would assume you are pregnant as it is highly unlikely that you’re not, given the four positive tests.   As a side note, most pregnacny symptoms start showing up around week 6, although everyone is a bit different.

Have you tried a digital test…the “faint” positive would drive me crazy questioning the result.  In the meantime I’d pick up some prenatal vitamins and Google “foods to avoid in pregnancy”.

Congrats! I would say you are pregnant, with that many positives.  Start taking prenatal vitamins right away,  you can buy them at wal-mart in the vitamin section.  Make sure if you decide to take another test do it with your first pee of the day, it is the most strongest.
