My diamond belonged to DH’s great aunt. It’s small but sparkles like you wouldn’t believe. πŸ™‚

Great thread!  I love all of these classic beauties πŸ˜€.

Mine is a yellow gold, 1930’s reproduction setting with a vintage oec diamond.  She has delicate scrolls up the shank and the fishtail prongs give the round stone a square look…I just love all of her subtle details, and her facetting πŸ’Ž πŸ’ž.

Any excuse to show her off is a good excuse in my book, gals😏.

Mine is a classic round solitaire on an 18K yellow gold band. My original weding band is plain gold, although I now have another couple of bands to match it up with.

I don’t know what the heck mine is, but I like to think she’s classic and timeless!

since sapphires were the most popular gemstone for erings before diamonds took over as the ‘standard’ in the 1940s, i think mine counts as uber-tradtional! plus, the style itself is pretty classic.

I have been wearing my solitaire with a plain band recently and really love the clean simple look for everyday wear. Mine has some hidden details as well but still the classic look which I love!

I think mine is very classic! My grandmother who was married in the 40’s had a ring similar to mine and others posted as well. 2 of my aunts With white gold solitaires married in the 60’s and 70’s. Solitaires never go out of style! everyone’s rings are gorgeous.

And my wedding set I get to wear in just under two months!!
