There are some pretty nice CZ stones that look just like real diamonds!  I’m glad that you went within your FI’s means, I really don’t think a ring is worth going into debt over.

I can’t tell the difference between a nice CZ and a diamond, especially when they’re in a pretty setting ๐Ÿ™‚

Congratulations! It is so great that you have such a mature and compassionate view on this subject. It breaks my heart to see men who want more than anything to buy their girlfriends the nicest ring they can afford, only for the girlfriend to not be satisfied. I am so happy that you are happy. And I am sure your ring is gorgeous! Photos?

It’s really gorgeous and I like that it’s delicate.
I am a small ring girl myself, with real diamonds but very small ones, because I told my husband to keep the money for us to travel together and pay the cars and mortgage.
We’re very happy with our choice; as I’m sure you’ll be glad that your Fiance didn’t get into debt for a piece of jewelry! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Great to hear about the maturity and the great sense of reality you two have with your finances! Well said it’s more about the committment he has to you versus an expensive-not-sure-how-we’re-going-to-affordable-the-bills-and-put-food-on-the-table ring. It will be an awesome upgrade later on!

Good for you! It’s gorgeous, and now you don’t have to wait around and feel like you’re putting your life on hold (we’re both pretty young and poor and went with Moissanite.) I can’t tell the difference. Your ring is beautiful.

WOW!!! Your ring is GORGEOUS and you really can’t tell. I applaud you as well and I think your FH loves you all the more because he really knows that you love him for him and not for the things he can give you. It’s not about the ring; its about the committment and love you have for each other. I think this is one of the sweetest things I’ve read. Your secret is safe with me Wink

Beautiful ring!

And I actually like that it’s not diamond. It almost seems more romantic that way, if that makes sense. I, too, like to see brides happy to live within their (and their FI’s) means ๐Ÿ™‚

You will have an amazing anniversary present to look forward too in the years to come! but none of them will replace your engagement ring that you love.
