I just made a post about having some extra money to spend on myself and I thought maybe I should upgrade my ring…well another bee suggested we create memories instead of making a purchase. I thought that was a completely amazing idea. She suggested a hot air balloon ride (which I completely 100% love) but its $500 for 2 people and my husband wants to stay on the ground. I really love the idea of something adventurous that we would never forget. We live by a huge lake but its too cold to kayak etc. Any ideas for something really fun we could do??? Dallas is a huge place and we haven’t lived here long, I assume there is tons of adventure out there somewhere. We have been in the need of an amazing date night/weekend for a while. I was thinking we could end the night in the hotel we stayed in for the wedding since it was nice and has great memories. Hmmmmm. I would love to hear EVERY idea you have!!!

Have you checked out Groupon or Living social? You can get good ideas and a deal.

I’ve always wanted to take a motorcross class or at least be a passenger in a race car. It always seemed exciting to me. And it’s on the ground. You may also want to check Urban Daddy, most of the offers are guy-centric but there maybe something you both enjoy.

I signed up for Groupon and hubby and I bought an hour session at the shooting range…lol Definitely something different and non usual date nighty!

@sheepandbear: You could go to the Texas Motor Speedway…I forget the name of the company but you can pay to drive really fast cars around the track…just google if you are interested and I am sure it will pop up.
What about dinner on top of reunion tower? I’ve always wanted to do that!

@hotpinkbride: +1 I’ve always wanted to do dinner on top of reunion tower too!
@sheepandbear: Another thought, have a sexy staycation – get a room at Hotel Zaza or the Ritz-Carlton, go out for a fancy dinner and drink champagne in bed! If it’s really adventure you’re looking for how about skydiving?

@sheepandbear: You could also stay at the Gaylord in Grapevine and visit some of the wineries out there over a weekend.

Building memories is the best! My SO and I love taking day trips or weekend trips. Perhaps drive to a different city and see the tourist attractions make a day/night out of it i.e. museums, comedy clubs, attractions. Also, we love going to B&B’s and just relaxing, especially if they have a couples massage package! My weather here is crappy, but perhaps you can enjoy nature and each other. There’s nothing better than getting away from the norm. It’s so rivigorating. Lastly, my SO and I tend to do this in the summer, but get a state map and close your eyes and just pick a random place and then drive there. Don’t make any set plans just drive and have a day adventure out of it. It’s so much fun, especially with someone you love! Good luck!
