Aww, that’s so sweet πŸ™‚ I’m a teacher and I have had a few students with autism spectrum disorder.  It really is amazing how children can touch our lives!

Awww I love moments like that.  I work at a daycare and also have a child who is on the Autistic spectrum.  My little guy is 5 but was 4 at the time and verbal but just the basics and one day he came and gave me a big hug and said “You make me so happy”  I almost cried right there LOL  How did you find your state job?  I would love to do something like that!

That is AWESOME!!!  That is huge for a kiddo that is typically non-verbal or uses echolalia.  What he said seemed quite appropriate and I love how he wanted to ease your identified sadness with food!  Too cute!

Sidenote: I am a Speech-Language Pathologist who works with man kiddos on the spectrum, so I understand how meaningful this is!  YAY!!!!

That’s lovely!  Thank you for sharing that!

I used to teach kids with mental & physical disabilities to ride horses as a form of therapy and it was always SO moving when one of them would have a breakthrough moment like that.
