Hm. I had an orchid in my hair which looked PERFECT when I pulled it out at the end of the night. I would agree that a tiger lilly wouldn’t do so well. Have you ever gotten a bouquet from a florist with a tiger lily in it? I find the petals crease/break really easily and can look beat up pretty quickly. If you’re not crazy about the calla lily, I’d ask him what else he would suggest.

Probably because he hasn’t dealt with tiger lilies in the hair?  Or because it’s what you want and his goal is to make you happy?

If you want a tiger lily, why not look for a silk one?

If you’re dealing with white calla lilies, they can be a real pain the butt…. they bruise and mark horribly easy. That said, with the colored ones they don’t show the marks as easily… where as with lilies, they just tend to wilt quicker.  So maybe your destination florist recommended against calla lilies based on experience working with the traditional whites?

What about getting a few Tiger Lilly’s  for your hair if thats what you really want? Use one for the ceremony, then after swap in a new one, and then later in the evening when you take a bathroom break put in a new one! Maybe not the most simple thing but it would give you the look you wanted.
