    I’m sorry but maybe you need to look for something that is more you. That is a lot of dress.

    PS: your inspiration gowns are gorgous. more refined and fresh looking ๐Ÿ™‚

    PPS: I’m assuming your mother already got married and wore the dress of her choice. It’s YOUR wedding! Wear what you want! I’m sure your mother doesn’t want to squash your dreams of dress hunting & your OWN dream dress.

    if it was my mum I would just tell her I dont like it and its not for me..

    are you worried that she will feel hurt that you dont like it and cant just be honest with her?

    Yeah the family friend dress looks more like a costume than a wedding dress.  Get a dress you love!

    I like over the top things but I really don’t like that dress. The open deep V in the front and all the layers. It reminded me of pirates of the Caribbean actually

    @Arganique:  That is….quite a dress…

    Haha I’m sorry, but that looks like it is a far cry from what you were looking for. I would just say that you really appreciate it, but it’s just not your style. I can’t even see how you would turn that dress into something that fits the bill.

    It looks like a fancy dress costume!

    Like others have said, the first dress looks kind of costume-y to me. It looks really special, but just not a wedding dress.

    You should have the dress you want.

    I don’t understand why it would be hard to say ‘No, thank you for being so kind and it’s a beautiful dress but that’s not the look I was going for’.

    I appreciate the work that went into this- but no no no. Try to help your mum come up with an excuse to tell her friend- like ” my daughter loves the dress but just can’t accept it “
