My fiance and I have decided that we will exchange gifts with each other at the wedding, but we have set a $20 limit. He’s a medical student and I’m a teacher, so we don’t really have a lot of extra cash lying around at the moment.
I am wanting to get him something meaningful, that he can have for the rest of his life, and that is a little bit unique. A lot of the suggestions I have been given so far are for things like watches and cufflinks which are a) well out of our price range, and b) not really ‘him’ anyway.
He’s a bit of a tech nerd, with a love of programming, photography, travel and coffee. If anyone has any suggestions I would be very grateful!
Lucky I still have five months to go!

This catalog has a lot of fun stuff, I have found things for my sister and my dad (total nerds) It has all types of price ranges.
also thinkgeek.com like a PP mentioned
Since you mentioned coffee and photography, I know somewhere there exists a coffee travel mug/tumbler or whatever you call it that’s shaped like a large zoom lens. Sorry, not sure how serious you want to go!

Traditional Wedding Day Gifts for Grooms have included something that is “substantial” enough to stand the test of time (most often therefore made of metal) and usually associated with a “gentleman’s” state of dress, so… Rings, Watches, Chains, Engraveable Bracelets, Money Clips, Tie Clips, Tie Tacks, Collar Pins, Cufflinks, Metal Shoe Horns, Belt Buckles, Cigarette Lighters, Alcohol Flasks, Pewter Beer Steins, Bottle Openers etc
To be honest, there will be something in the midst that fits your price range… you may though have to hunt around. I suggest that you let GOOGLE help you, because there is a lot of great stuff on-line to be purchased at substantially less than at a brick & mortar store.
Hope this helps,

I got this book. There are quotes and poems about love and relationships throughout the book as well as areas where you can write in it.
I wrote in it and gave it to him to read the morning of the wedding.

@MissFireFlower: I wasnt nerdy enough to understand the CSS/HTML tshirt without googling it but my Fiance would love it! This thread might have been written for him too. 🙂
