I want to register for a new vacuum I am currently registered at Target (having the most items on the registry) might get one with Walmart and have one at Bed, Bath and beyond…..I am used to a canistar vacuum cause you can get both rug and linolium which we will have in our apt when we are married….right now he has an upright (bagless) which I like ok but still think there is a better vacuum out there….My mom always had a Kenmore vacuum….I would like a hepa filter too cause we will have a dog in the apt.

My Dyson is hands down the best vacuum I have EVER used. I have three huskies, and for me it is truly amazing. I don’t know about the filter on it. But I love just being able to empty out the canister. I will never buy another bagged vacuum again, and will probably never buy anything but a Dyson.

I have a Dyson with a HEPA filter. It does well on carpet and bare floors, and it’s bagless. The only downside is they are expensive to buy and to fix if something happens to it.

I have a Riccar and love it. It’s even made in the USA.

We have a pet hair dyson (the purple one) and it is amazing at picking up the fur from our 2 large dogs and 1 long-haired cat!

Okay- I just registered for a Dyson on target.com and feel so much better about it. Even if we don’t get it, I hope that we have enough gift cards to make it happen!

I like our bissell pet vacuum from target. cheaper than a dyson and works great too. But I also think that electrolux makes awesome vacuums! They have great canister ones especially.

Dyson is the best… hands down.

I hate our Dyson – I think they’re completely overrated. It’s a couple years old, but we’ve maintained and cleaned it according to Dyson’s instructions, and it has indeed lost suction. We actually bought bags for my old $85 Hoover this past weekend because I was so fed up with the Dyson. Old Hoover performed like a champ. We have 2 dogs, and it picked up all their fur and dirt 🙂

Since there was no way I could afford an expensive Dyson or similar vacuum, I looked at all the reviews on Amazon to find something cheaper. I ended up with a Hoover Tempo Widepath for $50 (and free shipping). I’ve had it for three years. It picks up all the dog hair and dirt perfectly. The only drawback is you can’t turn off the rollers so it’s not good for non-carpet areas. It’s currently $67 on Amazon with free shipping.
FYI – Consumer Reports rated a number of models above Dyson, including a Kenmore last time I checked.

I just bought this vacuum after realizing that I could NOT imagine paying or asking someone else to pay $400 for a vacuum
