@MademoiselleL: oh just saw your ring! it’s BEAUTIFUL. if it doesn’t bother you, i’d keep it. i mean…unless people always grab your hand and see it up close? i don’t think i’d know a flaw if i saw one, like most people.

He was trying to make you feel bad about your ring so that you would upgrade, it wouldnt suprise me if that was one of his commonly used sales tools, I wouldnt even think about it again.

Its horrible, but there are lots of horrible tactics used in sales. Its a mind game.

Wow. If it were me? I would have shot back, “Whew, and for a second there I thought you were going to be a jerk about this. Nice sales pitch. Ass.” Ok. Maybe I’m not bold enough to say it to his face. But I would have thought it. 🙂 If that’s what a lump of coal looks like, I hope I get one in my stocking. Not sure how santa thought that was a punishment. It’s beautiful!

Hmmm, that’s a terrible tactic for attempting to make sales :/ I think most engagement/wedding jewelrs should know that selecting a ring or stone is an emotional process (particularly for us females) and INSULTS DON’T MAKES SALES.

I’m sorry. I think my ring has some flaws in it, not as visible to the naked eye, but who cares?! The love of my life got it for me and no upgrade or replacement can substitute that. I like to tell myself that nothing is perfect anyway. Your ring is a beauty. I think he needs to take a few business courses, or catelian/manner classes if anything. Well, my guess is that he probably won’t get very far if he keeps that attitude.

I love your diamond! 🙂 And if you both decide on getting an upgrade, I’m sure you won’t be running back to him…
