This reminded me of a situation I ran into when thinking about buying a new car. (I did buy a new car – just not at that place!)

I would have let him know that, regardless of whether I believed my ring was awful or not, I would NOT be buying from someone with a shitty attitude and sales tactic.

@MademoiselleL: hahahahahhahahahahahhahahahahah at “so if you need to have a barbeque, apparently I have a lump of charcoal for you” you’re a crack up! I wouldn’t worry about it – clearly, he was trying to sell his diamonds by degrading yours to make his look better. Of course, that didn’t work and all that he managed to do was insult you. I wouldn’t worry about it – you’re ring is GORGEOUS and appears to be without a flaw to the naked eye! xoxo

That’s so insanely rude, it’s pretty much humorous. I can bet he’s used that line on many people before you… I think it’s beautiful.

Flaws give gems character, don’t give that douchebag another thought.

Aw, totally agree with PP. Your ring is beautiful, and he was just trying to bully a sale.

I have a visible flaw in my ring, but I don’t mind. I think of it as a way to immediately know my ring, and it’s really only noticeable if you hold the stone up to your face and stare for a while.
