Lovely dress, I think the alterations will look great! Can’t wait to see the finished dress. Will you be using a sash like in the photos?

I think these alterations will look great – the dress is already really beautiful but I love all three of the final touches you are giving it. I personally like plain ivory satin sashes and think that would look nice here- just as an idea. You’re going to look gorgeous!

I love your dress so much! I agree with the V back (one of my goto styles for most of my dresses!) and the new sash.  I actually had an opition with mine with having a different sash with beeding and chose the more subdued because of all the other beeding on my dress.

20151017_143601 Wish my shoulders were back, but this is my veil and it was half off! It is finger tip length with just a little bit of sparkly lace that matches the dress around the edges.  She told me I could wear it for my first dance and dance with my dad, since most brides don’t wear the cathedral length to the reception after styling their hair to match.  I like that idea.

I think looking at your bottom of your dress, you could do a Cathedral length with lace on the ends.  My mom’s actually had lace all the way around and around her face, and I wanted to wear it, if it went with my dress.  I like the looks of that style, and I agree it should be light enough to show off the sash.

I love the V of the back you are doing. I think it’s going to look great.

mfox89:  love your idea of making a v back and sweetheart neckline! My dress already had a deep v and I love it, esp like you said with the sash and bow in the back. Mine was also a sweetheart illusion neckline and I had the tulle removed to make it completely strapless. Not an a-line but here’s my before and after pics. My veil is chapel length.

mfox89 your dress is beautiful! once you get the alterations done I think it will feel even more like “your” dress, she’s a beaut. Loving everyone’s dresses I this thread. I also love a lace/tulle/a line combo, here is a photo of mine! I’m having a bolero/backwards jacket type thing to wear for the church, and then wearing it strapless with a sparkly belt in the evening.
