Personally I would drag him around all day hung over looking at venues especially since it is going to be warm tomorrow!!! Sure it wont be as much fun (for the both of you) but it could mean the difference between getting the venue you want and having to settle fro your second choice.

Have you made appointments for the viewings because that would be really rude to back out at the last minute especially since I am sure other couples might have missed out on that appointment time.

Um, no.  He doesn’t get to bail on something you’re looking forward to doing together because he’s doing something stupid.

Darling Husband used to go out to friends’ parties on Saturday nights and stay out until 4 am (not get drunk, though).  I told him if we had plans for Sunday, he’d better be prepared to be awake and chipper by 9.

He got annoyed with me for bringing it up and basically said he’s not gonna text me for the rest of the night so he can enjoy his night out

Um, what? That’s just immature! Not talking to you because you raised the issue with him? Eh…

We’re all entitled to our nights out to have fun, but if we have something importnant the next day then it’s no excuse to get wasted the night before and then spoil someone elses day.

Just carry on as planned and drag him out of bed.

First off………. HI DATE TWIN **WAVES**!!!!!!!!!

Secondly, I agree with the PP who were in favor if dragging him along anyways. If its the only weekend you both have open for a few months then it really could be the difference between getting the venue of your dreams and missing out because someone just booked it before you! He seems to have the usual male mentality that its SOOOO far away and you guys have PLENTY of time to plan a wedding (please note sarcasm). Let him know this is important to you (and should be to him as well)!

We booked our venue 2 weeks ago and I’m glad I didnt lollygag around because I though it was a lesser known venue in the middle of nowhere— but it was booked up until August 2013 already! GAH!

Having experienced the panic of venues we liked being fully booked for when we wanted them, I would say that you have to just drag him around this time or you may end up getting disappointed.

Bare in mind a lot of venues will be being snapped up this time of year due to the many proposals that are bound to have occured on Valentine’s day. Leaving it another 2 months may be way too risky.

@cuddlz88:  you have every right to be shitty with him! I booked my venue nearly two years in advance and my preferred time was already booked out.

And just so you feel better my hubby rang me at 1am last night to pick him up from the station because there were no taxis after a boy’s night out. I told him to walk home (only 20mins and it was a balmy 24 degrees) and put the phone on silent! Of course I didn’t go back to sleep until I heard him come in the door. And today he feels sorry for himself but I have been up since 7am getting the housework done before it gets tooooo hot and not because I wanted to make as much noise as possible!
