I am looking for a little advice ladies. I have had a bit of an odd experience this month and can’t seem to find anything online to help me so thought I would try the bees before heading to a doctor…….
My Husband and I are not actively TTC but we are going by the what happens happens method…
My Period and monthly are usually very regular, only changing by a few days if at all and I am usually a dead cert for a 29 day cycle.
Well this month I was due on the 4th of January but on 29th December I had some VERY light bleeding (no cramping or other symptoms) and again on the 30th and 1st. As I say this was Extremely light (I was using the lightest absorbancy possible and it only lasted a few hours).
I had thought that maybe this was just due to a slight upset in my normal pattern and fully expected to get my period on the 4th. (I have once before had very early light bleeding followed by a normal period). However, the 4th has come and gone and there has been NOTHING. No cramping, and no period. I do however feel bloated, sometimes nauseaus and irritable but thats it. I have done 2 pregnancy tests and both have come back negative.
Have any of you ever experienced this? My husband seems to think that what I experienced on the days I had a slight bleeding was just a very light period but I am not entirely convinced…..
Any help or advice or (even just that you have experienced it) you lovely ladies can give is so greatly appreciated.

I had this last month too. Has a super light bleed a week before my period was due then the date I usually get my period came and went. I did end up getting my proper period the following week though.
No idea why, has never happened before.
Difference being I couldnt have been pregnant. when did you do the tests? maybe wait a few more days then test again?
ETA: I did have a baby 9 moths ago but have had regular periods since 6 weeks post partum so it wasnt hormonal!
I didnt experience implantation bleeding with my pregnancy but i have heard of this being so light that tampons or pads are not needed at all but everyone is different.

I was going to say implantation bleeding, but the two negative tests are a bit puzzling?

Is it possible you just didn’t ovulate last month and had a tiny bit of breakthrough bleeding? HPTs are sometimes wrong, though!

@ ChocolateLime I did the test on the date my period was due, then again at 4 days late and both negative…. I did think that the second was going to go positive as I watched it for the 3 mins and it looked like a line was starting to appear but then disappeared…..
@idoalterations I didn’t even know it was possible to skip an ovulation?! Shows how much I know huh? 😛
I feel awful just now, I am getting headaches, feel all bloated and nauseous (although not all the time) I am really irritable and Its odd but I almost feel like I am in someone else’s body. I know that sounds strange but I feel like everything is going very slowly and I am all tingly. I can also sometimes feel as though I am pulsing? And I know it may be Too Much Information but I could have sworn It feels like my cervix is low down too? I don’t have a clue if these are even related but I am going out my mind not knowing whats wrong! I might go buy another test and do it on Monday just to rule that out. If still nothing by then it looks like it could be a trip to docs!

I had something similar happen to me. Then, I tested the day I was due and it was negative. So I tested again a few days later…still negative. It wasn’t till I tested AGAIN a week after I was due for AF that I got my positive. So ya never know!

I did have implantation bleeding. I thought it was my period (I had light periods FWIW) since I needed to use my cup and it lasted about 2-3 days. Mine was very similar to my period though, and I even had cramps. Are your periods typically light…or heavier? Since I thought it was my period I didn’t test, so no help on that end. By the time I did test it was very positive (8+ weeks).
I would maybe try testing again sometime this weekend or early next week just in case.
