I’m in a tricky situation: living in Switzerland and getting married in the states.
So, I’m stuck doing much of my dress research / shopping online. I’m in love with the Nicole Miller metal taffeta looks but am curious to find out how rigid and, more importantly, how shiny they are.
I’m considering ordering one once I can get a better idea.
Has anyone who has tried these on willing to help a sister out?

A friend of mine wore one of the dresses for her recent wedding. She loved it and it looked great. Very unique and she got a lot of compliments. Personally I didn’t think it was too shiny and though it had more structure then say silk, I wouldn’t say it was rigid. It seemed very soft. If you send me a private message I can send you the link to her slideshow so you can get a sense for how the dress moves on a real bride.

I tried on several Nicole Miller dresses in metal taffeta. They were really lightweight and comfortable, actually, and not rigid at all. They were also not terribly shiny in pictures. Less than a regular tafetta would be.
Here’s a couple pics:

I am also very interested in this material. Any idea if you can steam out the wrinkles?
