@UpstateCait: I have no idea, but I imagine that when WB enabled the “log in through Facebook” option, Facebook automatically links the two and includes it in the app. I wonder if it synced up for only those people who clicked the “log in through FB” button (whether on purpose or accidentally), since so many of us didn’t see the app in our FB list.

Just my guess, anyway.

WHY DOES EVERYTHING HAVE TO BE LINKED BACK TO FACEBOOK!!???!!?!?!?? I’m so sick of nothing being private anymore. I mean, it’s not like I’m trying to hide anything on here but I really don’t need everyone knowing every site that I visit the moment I visit it. They are shooting themselves in the foot doing things like this…

@yellowlace:  Agreed, it is so invasive.  Facebook, not WB.

Yep, this is definitely a facebook issue. I just looked and it had me linked to a bunch of websites (like etsy, photobucket, etc) that I never asked it to link to.

I almost always have multiple tabs opened on my browser and have never seen that Facebook stuff show up on the bee…and I clearly spend plenty of time on the main page, reading the other bee bloggers’ posts.  So odd!

I read something about Facebook being pretty agressive about getting some companies to link logins.  I wonder if they can do any data mining this way?  I joined Pinterest in the Beta days, but I believe the only way to join now is to link it to Facebook or Twitter.  Is that true?

@dallasbride2012:  I tried that and I don’t see WB anywhere in the aps. I also have never signed into WB using my FB account (I always keep them seperate) and yet I still see someone mentioned as a user from my FB.

Anyone else have any suggestions? I too would like a little privacy, I never agreed to having my accounts linked. 🙁

@Mrs. Mink:  Yep, you have to sign up by linking with one of them.  However, you can unlink your account after you sign up.  That’s what I did (I also signed up with twitter so I could keep my pinterest a little more private).

@Mrs. Mink:

you can still login without the social link but they make it difficult to find it.

@Treejewel19:  I’m pretty sure that since you never linked the two, they cannot see your account.  That is my understanding of it anyway.

I never saw anything like this, but I also don’t log in using Facebook.  Pretty crazy!

ETA: I rarely use Facebook login in for a lot of things.  I think it’s a crazy thing.
