- Wedding: July 2013
I wrote a post at the beginning of the week very confused about love. How I was supposed to feelbe in my relationship, even to the point of reconsidering whether i really wanted to go ahead with my planned wedding.
After receiving many wonderful replies and hearing from other members of the board, I soon realised my thoughts were very much normal! This as you can imagine was a humungous weight off of my shoulders. I am back to feeling excited about my wedding day and what the futuren holds for both my partner.
Anyways, whilst looking for table decoration inspiration today, ii came acrross the following quote and really wanted to share it with others who are maybe feeling confused like I was.
I hope this puts a smile on your faces half as much as it did me 🙂 Enjoy xx
“Love is a temporary madness. It erupts like an earthquake and then subsides. And when it subsides you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your roots have become so entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part. Because this is what love is. Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the promulgation of promises of eternal passion. That is just being “in love” which ay fool can do. Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away, and this is both an art and a fortunate accident. Those that truly love, have roots that grow towards each other underground, and when all the pretty blossom has fallen from their branches, they find that they are one tree and not two.”
