@figgnewton:  It’s not the breed, it’s the owner.

Absolutely!  I hope everything turns out for you all.

@figgnewton:  Looks like a pit/lab cross to me. Beautiful dog!

Hope everything turns out well and they forget about it.

I don’t think he looks like a pitbull and where I live, that’s all that people own lol. He definitely has Doberman though, the markings, “eyebrows”, and ears give him away. But it’s not so noticable because of his light color (most likely do to him having some lab mixed in). He’s so cute though!!

What a cute dog! Glad they haven’t brought the issue up again. I agree with your mom. Just lay low and don’t bring it up.

@BoxerLady:  I was thinking the same thing – pit/lab mix.  What a cutie!  Pit bulls can be sweet, and mixed breeds even more so.  The owner makes all the difference.

He actually reminds me of a Weimaraner.  He’s beautiful,  I hate the shit people say about pits.  They’re ignorant.  For example – there is no truth to them having “locking jaws”.  They are loyal and wonderful dogs.  I would have one, but my townhouse complex does not allow them, or mastiffs.  Bullshit.

He certainly has either dobermann or rottweiler in him (his adorable eyebrows, muzzle and chest give him away) but he is obviously a mix! And super sweet by the looks of the pictures! Lay low…hopefully they don’t bring it up, and if they do it’s hopefully closer to when you were planning on moving anyway (end of the year/next year)!

@lia22:  Your complex won’t allow mastiffs?! I’ve never heard of that before….

@angustia:  I think it’s ridiculous – it’s in the strata rules. There’s a little mutt furball across the way that yaps and snaps and barks when you walk by – I’d bet that little shit would bite anyone, yet it’s ok because it’s not a pitbull or a mastiff?

@lia22:  Riiiiiiight. Oh goodness. It’s the smaller dogs that account for most human bites every year any damn way(not fatal though). Nothing against the little guys, I love them 🙂

There’s no reason to restrict an entire BREED because a group of d-bag owners turned them into killers. They should restrict animals in GENERAL (large, small and in between) if they are aggressive…not because they are a pitbull. Hell, I have two boxers and may be facing an insurance problem when I move back to California. Ugh…

“Little mutt furball”—love it. 🙂

End Rant. LOL

@angustia:  insurance problem with the boxers???? I have NEVER met one that didn’t want to lick me to death.  Unreal. I hate this kind of ignorance!
