I realized for the past couple of months that sometimes during or before my period I just lose my appetite completly. All I want to do is drink water, herbal teas, even warm milk. But I feel so Mehhhhhhh when I even look at food.. not sick but just bleh u know? Any other bees feel the same way? or am I just weird? lol.

I usually have a day during which food is just not appetizing at all. I feel ya!

@Gemstone: (: I hate those days though, especially since im trying to keep my weight balanced or atleast gain a pound or two. Then depression hits for a few days lol. I think ill make something appetizing like French toast. Yummmm

@Mrsgurzakovic: Oh poor thing! Well, my day of not eating is usually balanced out by the other day during my period when I’m just starving, haha!

I get like that 1-2 days before… then make up for it during when I am a RAVENOUS beast hell-bent on consuming every edible thing within a 10-mile radius.

I’m usually STARVING the week before, but the week of (for a 2 or 3 days), my appetitie is decreased. It’s weird how that happens.

ok now I have PMS envy I guess because my symptoms are the exact opposite! I cannot get enough to eat for a good four days before aunt flo.

It happens to me, too. For about a week, I barely eat anything. Darling Husband gets really worried and tries to force me to eat, but I’m just not hungry.

Different strokes for different folks girl, because before my cycle comes on I eat EVERYTHING in site. My appetite is ready and I seriously eat. Hope my pregnancy hormones aren’t like that or watch out scale.

PMS can have so many symptoms so I would say normal! I find I get so many cravings, but also get nauseous at the same time. Constipation can also decrease your appetite which I also get with PMS. Increasing your fibre a little bit before might help, but I don’t think it’s doing much harm to eat a little less for a few days.

That’s interesting, I’m usually ravenous! Women tend to get hungrier before their periods because their metabolism increases by 10-30% and they’re burning a lot more calories. (So don’t feel guilty about eating more food, your body actually needs more the week before your period!)
I always have that day where my energy levels are in the pits and all I want to do is sleep. And being around people is more annoying than usual, haha.

I wish. During that week, sometimes my own leg looks appetizing. I will engulf everything. It’s usually the week after that I dont want to eat a thing.

Total loss of appetite here. I couldn’t even eat plain rice a few days ago… just felt too sick. 🙁

@moosey: Same here. Im trying my best right now to eat something small.. well forcing is a better word lol. I think ill stick to just fluids and probably fruits.. and french toast 😉 lol
I guess in conclusion, were all diff! I sometimes have those eatng lik crazy habits too but that could be either a day before my period or during my period itself or after…. theres no stable balance with me.
