Definitely keep you in my thoughts and prayers.  I hope everything goes okay.  You’re lucky to have some great friends who are willing to help you move even without you there.  Just do what you can, and that’s all you can do!

I will definitely be praying. That is a lot to have going on in a short time. Whenever you start feeling overwhelmed stop what you are doing and pray. Cry if you need to. It always keeps me from falling ill with a stress related illness. If you lived nearby I would come help. ((HUGS))

Thinking of you and your hubby and his family.  I’m so sorry these things are happening at the same time.  Don’t worry about the Thank You cards, you’ll get to them when you can.  Try to look on the positive you’ve got some great friends.  Everything will work out, don’t lose faith.  (and start packing asap)

Sending good vibes.

I don’t normally say this, but use your friends.  They sound awesome for offering to help you out.

Everything will work out.

O hun I’m so sorry…that IS a lot going on. Don’t feel silly for feeling as stressed as you are, and at what should be such a fun, newly married time too. It sounds like you have a great support systerm so just do what you can to get everything packed up and out and don’t worry about the mess of the new apartment or than you notes until you have a little breathing room. ((Hugs))

Sending you good thoughts and praying for you, I’m so sorry 🙁  Don’t worry about the thank-you notes.  Social niceties take a back seat to real people and problems, focus on packing, keep your thank-you notes in a separate place so that you can find them easily and pick them up again right after the move (though traditionally you have three weeks to send a note, many brides take up to a year to send them and plenty don’t send any at all, you will comparitively be a pro at sending thank-you notes even if you take a few weeks off to get re-settled and to mourn for your husband’s grandmother).  Focus on supporting your husband and taking care of him and yourself.  If you have to, just throw things in boxes randomly (though this will make unpacking a chore).

Sending good thoughts your way. Could you hire a professional moving company that packs up for you as well? It might be an expense worth it to avoid additional stress.

the thing that’s really great about humans is that they can adapt really well, and rise up when  the situation calls for it.

I’m sure it will work out for you in the end. you are very fortunate to have such loving friends, and my condolences for your grandmother-in-law.
