At this point, I will not worry about new DIY projects. I will tackle the big box of felt, ribbons, silk flowers, and doilies in my room.
My guests will be fed. My guests will be comfortable. I will not worry about whether grosgrain ribbon looks better than satin or if the favors match the tablecloths well enough.
The venue will look beautiful because I love it and I will use my helpers to decorate it. I will not try to do it all myself.
I am marrying my best friend. I need to stop and enjoy the rest of this month.
Please feel free to add to this!

Good thread: I will try to focus on school this week. I will enjoy my wedding day and try my best not to micromanage!

I’m going with the “it is what it is”. I’ve done what I can and am just going with whatever happens (even the giant ant statue that is now placed at my reception site.)

I LOVE THIS THREAD! I vow (no pun intended lol) to enjoy the rest of this month and only worry about finishing necessary projects. I will not add on extra DIY projects and stay up wee hours of the morning looking for craft projects. I will find quality time to spend with my fiance. I am sooo happy that I finished school last week – one last thing to worry about. I have not been active on WeddingBee but I enjoyed reading all of your posts especially here lately. I wish everyone blessings on their wedding day and future with their hubbies!!!! 🙂

I have to add:
I will not bottle up my feelings. If something is bothering me, I will tell Fi so I don’t blow up at him later.
Last night, I had to hav a sit- down with him because he’s letting two extra people stay at our house ( in addition to our Maid/Matron of Honor and BM) and our second bathroom is only half done. There is no way I’m sharing my bathroom with 5 people on my wedding weekend.

@redhead46: This (minus the ant statue). I’ve got 8 days. However stuff turns out is just going to have to be how it turns out. Plan for this week: Try to actually get stuff done at work instead of letting my mind wander about next week.. hasn’t happened yet!

YES! Relax, ladies. Your big day is coming and you just have to remember to BREATH and ENJOY. Remember that your family and closest friends are there to celebrate with you. They don’t care (or even notice) if a little detail isn’t perfect.. they are there because they love you. I barely even noticed the DIY projects I had slaved over for the last few weeks on my big day. Didn’t even faze me when I met an un-RSVP’d guest’s son AT the ceremony who was now also coming to the reception. Trust me, everything will work out (and that means a lot coming from me… I’m the biggest OCD freak you’ll ever meet). You don’t want bridezilla-related memories when you think about your wedding! I’m still smiling ear to ear from this weekend and I’m stoked that it will forever be one of the best days of my life. 🙂

@redhead46: what’s with the ant statue?? 🙂 LOL.
@MrsLongcoatPeacoat: Yes, we are commiting to each marry our best friend! 😀
@sushitushi: thank you for the reminder that nobody notices the details. thank GOODNESS!
I think we’re going to watch Hunger Games the day before our wedding and just spend some quality time together. Hopefully, I’m not having a nervous breakdown that day, lol.

@sushitushi: Congratulations!!!!! Any recaps up yet?

@delicious: The botanic garden where we’re getting married is now doing a Big Big Exhibition, with these giant bug sculptures all over the gardens, but they weren’t supposed to be there until April. They’re moving the ant to the left so it won’t be the centerpiece of our reception anymore, but it’ll still be there. And it’s giant, like the ant in Honey I Shrunk the Kids. And I”m so sad that I have to miss the midnight release of Hunger Games and we just don’t have time to go that Friday, with all the last minute things and checking into the hotel. We’re going sometime in the days we’re off after the wedding.

@redhead46: ah! that explains it. =0) You know what? I’ll bet the guests won’t even notice the ant statue cuz they’ll be so happy and excited for you and your fiance! It’s going to be awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@redhead46: Maybe you should take some nice portraits with the ant 🙂
