@mrand2008: Who cares what people think?!?! If you want one of each, have one of each! I think it’s weird that people have 10+ BM’s but they do. It’s all about whatever suits your fancy… whether it’s one matron and one maid of honor or 10 BM’s and 10 more Biblical BMs (barf).
Disclaimer – I’m having a Matron of Honor (big sister) and Maid of Honor (little sis) at my wedding and if someone says something, I’ll be very surprised.

I am a Bridesmaid or Best Man in one of my friends weddings. Her Maid/Matron of Honor was a girl she lived with for almost 10 Years before moving out to live with her Fiance. She also mad a Matron of Honor who is a friend she has known since childhood who is married.

@mrand2008: If it’s what you want, then it’s totally fine! There’s no rule and no one is going to say you can’t have a maid and matron of honor. 🙂

Thanks everyone! I was seriously getting kind of panicky about this. I have never been to a wedding where there were two “special ladies”, so I thought maybe I was crazy for even considering it haha.

It’s your day, you have whatever and whomever you please I have to maids of honour. Neither of them are married and I didn’t want to have to choose between them, so I have had both
