Fiance and I won’t have a lot of money to spend on our honeymoon. We live in the UK and we’re on the hunt for an affordable honeymoon or minimoon for October. Our budget is £1500 for the accommodation and flights/Eurostar for both of us (approx. $2500) which could just about get us a week in Paris in a nice 4 star hotel.
What do you think? Any tips?

Do it! Paris is AMAZING. I can’t remember any specific places that I have visited there, but there are tons of great travel books on France that have big sections on Paris that can recommend great restaurants and stuff.

Darling Husband and I had a minimoon there in February. We rented a flat using Airbnb.com and saved so much money. The flat was in walking distance of everything and cost the same as an ok hotel miles away from anything.
This is the flat we stayed in. I would highly recommend it. https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/479926

@linnylou_88: Absolutely do it! And I second Airbnb.com for accommodations. We saved HUGE this way. We rented an apartment and had much more room than a typical hotel, and it cost MUCH less too! It’s a win-win.

@linnylou_88: DO IT! DO IT! DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I went there for my honeymoon as well as Barcelona
We were in Paris for 3 nights and we did a lot.
I suggest making a reservation at a place called Spring. You have to make reservations at least a month in advance because its not a huge place and is very busy. We had to make a reservation 2 months in advance. Its an experiecne you won’t ever get anywhere else. Its near the Louvre.
You can also visit the Lock Bridge, the original one is behind the Louvre. You bring a pad lock, and lock it on the bridge, and throw the key in the water.
Take a trip to Pigalle, and please please go to Versaille!! its the most beautiful thing you will see. These are places you can get to by the Metro. If you go to Versaille, you will have to take a cab when you get out of the train because there is no way to get there by train. Its about a 15-20 min drive. There will be cabs right outside the Metro!

We went to Paris for our honeymoon, along with Morocco and rented a a great airbnb in the Marais. We loved it. It was super convenient to lots of great restaurants, public transportation and had a tiny kitchen for us to keep some food to eat too.

My husband and I went to France for our honeymoon and went to Paris and Annecy. Annecy is SUCH a romantic, idealic little town in the French Alps. I would definitely look into it. It was wonderful
