Definitely Olga! She’s is like the wedding dress ninja! She’s a sweet little russian lady who works majic. I drove 3.5 hrs each way twice, for her to do the alterations on my dress. She’s like a Raleigh Institution. She works from home, and does an awesome job. She books up SUPER far in advance so you have to get her early. I booked her the same day I ordered my dress!!

I don’t know if she does wedding dresses or not, but I did have 3 bridesmaid’s dresses altered at Oriental Tailors in Chapel Hill. She did an excellent job on all 3 dresses and her rates were reasonable. Be forewarned though, she is a little abrupt (not the type to chit chat or fawn-she’s all buiness pinning the alterations) and she does not take credit cards, but the work she did was great.

I have a tailor off of capital blvd and buffaloe rd near the Burlington coat factory. It’s Su Tailor and she’s awesome!! I took my lily Pulitzer dress to her and she did wonders on it.

Just want to give Olga another great review!!  I went to her and it was amazing 🙂  My dress needed a lot of work.  I had been lugging my dress around for years (long story) it even moved across the country with me!  We had a very short engagement and she was scheduled for a long vacation and still squeezed me in and made miracles happen!!

@MrsFutureG:  I was just there picking up my dress….maybe she was with me.  ; )  Anyway, she did a great job with my dress.  I can’t wait to wear it in a couple of weeks. As far as prices, I’m not sure what to compare her to, but for me it was $236.  She added cups so I don’t need to wear a bra (yes!) and she had to hem the three linings that my dress had (I think it was $16/yd?) and she made the dress bustle ($10/per point) beatifully.  (I wasn’t even sure I was going to be able to bustle my dress)  She also did a little work to fix a hook on the dress and helped with some other parts of the dress.  She is funny and sweet and does an excellent job.  I didn’t price around because I heard she was the best and I didn’t want anyone ruining my dress.  I’m glad I went to her.

@MrsFutureG:  You’ll love her, she’s amazing. SHe doesn’t have a website or anything, she works from home. But if you google her you’ll find thousands of reviews. I think I paid around $400 for alterations. My dress was totally lace, so that added to my cost (as she had to take the lace off and reattach for alterations).

She changed my regular zipper to an invisible zipper, added a cup into one boob, added lace to my DEEP V to make it a tad more modist, moved some buttons around (near the zipper), altered my straps, and did a bustle.
