We have owned our own home for about 5 years now. Just closed on our “forever” home a little over a month ago and finally got keys yesterday! So surreal to finally be in there after technically owning it for a month. Renovations have already begun and I’ve started packing up the house. Thank god I have months to pack up we have sooo much stuff…

We rent an apartment right now but Mr. Hedgie is graduating and already has some interviews for some full time jobs which means we will be looking to owning a home in a year or so if everything goes according to plan.

Well we currently rent and own. For another few weeks at least. We built a house and are just waiting for it to be done. It’s getting a lil pricey bill wise having 2 electric bills and water bills. Despite the house being low for both.

We are renting right now. We are actively working on paying off all debt including any car loans and student debt. After that the baby making and house buying begins. It’s a good 3 years down the road and I just can’t wait!!

We’re not married/living together yet, but we plan on buying a house right away if we can — we don’t want to be spending money on an apartment that could be going towards mortgage payments!

Victoria is awseome, you’ll love it there. I know I do. My sister lives there and I kind of wish I did too!
We rent a townhouse, which is really big for the two of us, but we get a good deal so it is good. We really want to buy a house in 2012, a few things just need to fall into place. Will make it a busy year as fall 2012 we plan on ttc.

I’m not sure what to consider ours. We rent the upper story of a house. The bottom story is rented out to someone else. We share the basement.

We rent. But we need to buy, NOW. Ha, I’m so terrified of missing the bottom of the market. In our area a mortgage is actually cheaper than rent on a decent apartment. It’s the down payment that’s the tough pill to swallow. DH promises we have nothing to worry about and the housing market will suck for a looooooong time, but I’m not buying it. I need a house dammit.

We rent an apartment, and it’s looking like we’ll still be in an apartment a few years from now. If DH gets a job as an apprentice electrician in the near future, it’ll make saving up a lot easier, but as it stands, we’ll be renting for a loooong time.
