Personally, I’m flattered if one of my ideas inspires someone enough to do it themselves.  Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, as they say. I wouldn’t post my ideas and DIY projects if I didn’t want others to gain something from it.  And I certainly haven’t come up with every single idea on my own — I have "borrowed" a lot of ideas myself — so I realize that that’s what it’s all about!

In a way, I find that Weddingbee is a lot about paying it forward… I have discovered a lot of great resources and ideas through other bees before me, so I’m just doing my job to keep paying it forward for other brides-to-bee.

I definitely agree with Miss Cupcake, and I would be flattered if anyone liked one of my ideas enough to want to use it themselves.

Sweeney, generally, if you post your idea, it’s up for grabs…thus, we have to be "okay" with the idea of other people gleaning inspiration from us – otherwise there would be no point to weddingbee! lol

Wedding planning is a lot like that – you take an idea from here, and idea from there – didn’t you get your centerpiece idea from Mrs. Lemon, in fact? It’s like a great big circle of inspiration, and we’re all planning within it.

I think that if someone finds inspiration from something I have done and would like to use it for their wedding its really great. Flattering too. So go right ahead

But of course, you all need to share some pics with us 😉

I agree with Cupcake and Tiramisu – I’m definitely flattered if someone uses something I did as inspiration.  I’ve been in touch with a few girls who are modeling some of their projects after things I did, and I love it!  Makes me feel useful, which is one of my very basic human needs.
