I do know that combining metals like that is not a good idea in the long run, and will damage either the platinum, the gold, or both. It is also a possibility that the rose golds will not match, as different manufacturers use different alloys in their production.

As for the diamond, I think anything will look good with rose gold! But I would go down to a G-I color just for the fact that, in my opinion, a D colored stone is overkill. Unless you are extremely color sensitive and prefer a truly colorless stone, you could get a better cut/more clear/larger stone with the money you’d save by not getting the highest rated color diamond.

Don’t do it. I like the look of mixed metals, but the rose gold will scratch the platinum in the short term, and the platinum will wear down the gold in the long term.
