I’m having an afternoon “Tea” reception so we aren’t going to be serving a full, sit-down meal. Its just going to be a very hearty selection of finger type foods. I basically need to figure out how/who I can hire to take care of some small things concerning the food on our wedding day so that my family and friends can just enjoy the reception instead of manning the kitchen. Not alot would have to be done (replenishing beverages at the beverage table, ect.) but i have no idea where to look to hire someone for this sort of thing. Anyone got an idea? Are there places
Ps. I absolutely will NOT have any family or friends do this. I had someone suggest that I have a cousin do it or something and I’m pretty against that idea. Thanks bees!

There are a lot of companies that hire out event waiters. In fact, most caterers go through a service like this to staff events. You might want try your yellow pages or do an internet search in your area. If that fails, try calling caterers and event planners and asking who they use. Definitely ask for references and make sure you know what will be included, what to tip, and how they will dress (most companies have a standard uniform).

you can also call the local trade school that has a cooking program. Both high school and college students training in the food industry would be well experienced and motivated for money! And probably very reasonably.
Also, do you know anyone who is a bartender waitress etc? Ask them to ask their co-workers if they want to work.

Do you have any family members who are high school/college age? Ask them to ask their friends if they want to make some extra money for the day. Have them dress in black dress pants and a white button down shirt to remain professional/uniform. Make sure to have a detailed list of what you want done and have a meeting with them BEFORE the wedding.
