@lindseyl06:

So funny you are bringing this up! I was just talking to Future Mother-In-Law about this today! We are considering the same thing. We really just want a casual, fun, non rushed event. Our wedding is not as caual so we wanted to relax a bit the day before. It should be cheaper, and it should help with next day hangovers! LOL!!

I think that sounds like a lovely idea. Definitely cheaper and that will give you time after the rehersal to do whatever else you want before the big day Laughing And I like the idea of it helping with people being tired from the night before.

There are no laws about rehearsal dinners. Many times the date, time and location has to be juggled around availability of the venue, the wedding party  and the officiant.

Do what works for you.

We are having the wedding Friday night and have to rehearse on Thursday BEFORE 5pm because they close for other events. Not sure we will even get a chance to rehearse because it’s just TOO early. We will have dinner Thursday night though. I say do what works best for the majority of people… and your budget
