Is it bad that I have never seen any of those products or pictures in my life?

If you stockpile Twinkies now, they’ll never go bad!

“Hey where’s the cream filling??”
“That’s the stuff, Hostess!”

GOOD NEWS ladies…

Come to Canada…

Wonder Bread is alive & well (the trademark is owned outright here by Weston Bakeries).  And I would say that Wonder Bread here and in the US is pretty much identical.

As for Hostess Cakes … ya that sucks !! Another American Icon GONE !!

We rarely see them in Canada… we have other companies here that make similar products tho.  (Whole bunch of such companies are found in Quebec… Vachon / Saputo is the big one here… maker of Jos Louis and May West Cakes)

To be honest, I am not a big fan of these pre-packaged sweets / cakes… but I certainly was familiar with them as a kid.  Finding Hostess Twinkies in your lunchbox was truly a special treat !!

@Pokemon:  You are not missing anything, trust me. A bunch of fat, sugar, and empty calories that contributed to America’s kids being obese. But then again, I’m the house that doesn’t give out candy on Halloween. (Insert cold-hearted bee-yotch comment here)

@Woodstock:  I remember that commercial.

It is sad that a lage company like that is coming to an end and many will loose their jobs. I can’t think of a single hostess cake that I liked (I’m a little Debbie’s kind of girl) nor do I like white bread so them closing doesn’t personally impact me.

I think I love all the Hostess cakes, how could this happen? ='(

I love love love the cupcakeks. I don’t know what I am going to do. If I keep them in the house I will eat an entire box all at once… normally I just pick up a 2-pack when I am having an intense craving. WAH!
