Most of South NJ is pretty safe, just stay away from Camden.

@BeautifulKatastrofie: Cape May, NJ has beautiful B&Bs.  Not sure where/when you want to stop, but it’s at the tip of southern NJ – near DE.  Have fun!

@MrsSaltWaterTaffy: Hahaha.  Yes, I second that.  Though I have no fear.  I used to take the speedline to Camden all of the time (about 15 mins away).  I just don’t suggest it to people who have no idea of the area.

@BeautifulKatastrofie:

Im in North Jersey, but never heard of that area.  There are a lot of other great areas around here that are beautiful and safe.

@BeautifulKatastrofie: I wish I could help you out, but I’ve only lived in southern Jersey so I’m not really sure.  =/

@JerzyLady:I just googled it.  It’s pretty much in the Elizabeth area.

@DesireeAnne: HAHAHA! I used to make the trek (using public transportation) from Glassboro to North Jersey all the time(bust to riverline to northeast corridor to bus). I once got stuck in Camden in the middle of the night – it was not pretty).

To OP, South Jersey does have some pretty nice places to stay but really, pretty much anything along I-95 in Jersey is okay after exit 12 (going south). And I do agree with the PA statement above. 🙂

Yeah, the Elizabeth area wouldn’t be my top choice to stay in (more due to ugly than anything else), but a little farther north or south would be fine. Maybe Jersey City? Or even somewhere around Paramus?

@BeautifulKatastrofie: A word of caution about AC and it’s surrounding areas. If you’re not staying on the strip, it’s not a nice place to be – like as in – avoid at all costs.
