Honestly, Venice is one of those cities where your plan should be to have no plan. It’s meant for just wandering around enjoying the view. Obviously a Gondola ride is a must. Otherwise, venture outside of the touristy areas to find the best food.

The basillica di San Marco really is gorgeous and the square is full of fun touristy things so it’s worth a visit. I bought a ring at the square when I was there and it was a really nice souvenir from the trip. But don’t kill yourself planning tours of famous places because those aren’t where the real magic is.

Also I second was PP said about pushy sales. Everywhere in Italy in general street vendors etc are really really pushy. Don’t let them make you uncomfortable or give in to buying something just to get rid of them because then they’ll be pushy about the price.

rachaell :  not sure if this will work, but it was this one:  https://www.viator.com/tours/Venice/Venice-Tour-Including-Gondola-Ride/d522-3731VENICEGONDOLA

the price seems to have increased a fair bit in the last few years though :-/ the walking tour part was really interesting, and I learnt so much about the history of Venice… if that’s your thing, the tour itself was awesome 🙂 Viator is where I’ve booked all of the tours that we have done- they seem to have lots of the other tours on their site..
