If you are finding yourself with a lot of crafting to do and not a bunch of time to do it in, consider this….
I am making 250 tissue paper flower napkin rings, 250 favors (hershey kiss rosebuds!), 26 centerpeices, 5 bouquets, 7 bouts, 2 corsages and some other misc. items. I work 6 days a week between 2 jobs and go to school full time. Basically I don’t have a lot of time on my hands, but I know I need to get things done.
Enter my mom’s wonderful idea, a crafting party! She and I hosted family and friends at her house to help create the items (specifically the napkin rings and favors.) I created one sample of each so people could see what the finished product looked like and then taught everyone step by step so they could repeat the process on their own (with a bit of quality control in between.) It was a lot of fun. I got to spend much needed time with important ladies in my life gabbing and catching up, while also chipping away at my to do list. We provided food and drinks and also played music to make it more party like. Everyone who attended emailed my mom or I to express how much fun they had and how happy they were to be able to be a part of my wedding as more than just a guest.
I share this with you DIY bees because I know how hard it can be to find the time to do things when planning a wedding. It can be stressful. Just don’t be afraid to reach out to those around you. Many people are waiting and willing to be a part of your special day.
