Nice to hear everyone’s stories! 🙂

Fiance and I are 20 years old have been together 3.5 years. We met when we were 12. I feel lucky to have grown up with him. We are obviously high school sweethearts and were both co-class presidents in our graduating year. Early in our relationship, he had to make the decision to not apply for the military, as had been his family’s plan for him since he was born (since they didn’t have much money). Fiance decided to go to the same university as me, instead of being on the opposite side of the country. In turn, I recently moved 1,000 kms away from home for him for his 8 month co-op work term :). We are common law now and love each other very much. We are waiting till we graduate to get married, and are planning an intimate Hawaiian destination wedding right after graduation in 2014. We’ll be together 5.5 years by the time we get married.

I love being engaged to him, because being boyfriend/girlfriend does not truly encompass all that our relationship is. I am excited for the day I finally become his wife!
