BalletParker :  Thank you so much!! It comes in in just a few more weeks – a total perk of Stella York gowns, was about 3 months!

Blushing bee

I just bought mine last week! It’s the D1876 from Essense of Australia & the color is blush. I think with tax it was $1800.  I can’t decide if I should wear a belt or not… the consultant said she thought it would take away from the dress, and I said it would be really hard to match anyway because of the color and beading.  Idk, I love it SO MUCH, but I think like every bride, I have a little bit of that, “oh crap, did I choose the right one?” going on. FullSizeRender 2 copyFullSizeRender 3IMG_5208

Hi everyone,

I am in need of some advice regarding non ivory wedding dresses and skin tones.
I’m in love with a dress, however I am not sure if the color tone of the dress is a fit for my skin tone. The dress is ivory lace over oat. It has a tulle skirt in an oat colour (according to the label). UNfortunately I was not allowed to take photos in the store, so I will have to use online photos. This is roughly how the dress looks like:

I have medium-tan asian skin. This is a photo of me to show you what my skin colour roughly looks like (ignore the ivory dress I am wearing in this photo)

Do you think my tan-ish skin will get drowned in the ivory over oat dress above because the oat is similar to my skin colour? Should I stick to ivory instead? The oat colour is darker than a nude. I would appreciate your responses!!! Thanks so much!

cinnammonluv :  It’s hard to say without having the possibility to see the dress on you.

Let me add that I have a medium-light Mediterranean complexion and I definitely did blush.

Could you try on a different dress in the same color in a different store where they do allow pictures?Mermaidbridal
