I don’t have anything to post here. But I love the idea of this thread!

Also, my SIL has one which she wears on holidays, she calls it her mexican wedding ring. It’s silver with square pieces of mother of pearl, which shine like diamonds in the band.

I wear this on my ring finger when I don’t have my e-ring.  It’s a right hand ruby and diamond ring that I got for my graduation.

I just got a plain titanium band. I got it to travel in the rural 3rd world and wanted to avoid attention.

Here’s my stunt double (on my pinky) next to my real set:

But I think I’ll just be wearing the stunt band when a “double” is needed:

I have a stunt double!  My “real” rings are a 1.4 ct round diamond solitaire on a white gold pave band with a matching wedding band. My stunt double is a rhodium-plated sterling silver and cubic zirconia eternity band.

Most of the time, I wear my “real” rings.  But when we go camping or if I am going to be getting my nails done or just when I don’t want to wear them for some reason, I get out the stunt double.

I will add, however, that my husband is NOT a big fan of the stunt double.  I love it and sometimes like to just change it up because I like the look of something different.  He, on the other hand, loves the rings he gave me and isn’t thrilled when I choose not to wear them.  He’s ok with it when I’m doing something where I might lose or damage my rings, but other than that, he prefers that I wear the ones he bought me…so I do.

Here’s the stunt double.  It was $29.99 at FantasyJewelryBox.com.

@Neva, thanks! It took a while to find one that was close, but ended up finding a set at Sears that was a good match! I wanted it to be close enough that when I do wear the stunt double when my real ring might get lost or damaged, if we took pics, it would be similar enough that most folks wouldn’t notice.

I just bought a stunt double ring this past weekend. However I wore it for 1 day and my finger turned green where the ring sat! Its a cheap quality ring that I picked up from Claires for $13 but I was hoping to wear it. Has anyone had issues with cheap metals reacting to their skin? Ive heard that if you use clear nail polish on the ring then the green won’t happen so I’m going to try that tonight. Anyone else have any suggestions?
