@FutureMrsMeinhardt:  It might be the metal your stunt double is made from…though I think individual body chemistry also plays a role.  My stunt double is sterling silver plated with rhodium.  I wear it a lot.  I don’t take it off to wash my hands.  I wear it while cleaning.  It does NOT get babied at all, but my finger has never turned green.

@blu77:

The seller I’ve bought mine from and some pear shaped bud earrings for my ceremony is a1TreasureChest on Ebay.  He/she is fantastic.

@Keisha In Love:

Thank you! And no, my real baby has a quad placed centre stone and round side stones.  This darling is just three stones in total.

I bought a super cheap and plain white gold plated 4mm band off eBay for when I go to the beach because I’m terrified of losing my rings or their stones while swimming. My real rings fit me perfectly and the stones are secure, but what can I say, I’m paranoid, lol.

I bought this sterling silver ring on 50% off sale for $25 to wear whenever I wouldn’t want to wear anything more valuable – third world travel, camping, hiking, beach, etc.  Otherwise, I wear it on my right hand a lot.  The writing is in hebrew and means “I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine”.  This same phrase will be on our ketubah and part of our ceremony.

@FutureMrsMeinhardt:

The most likely culprit is copper in your ring.  it reacts with skin to produce that green color.  Look for something that is steel, silver or silver plated and you shouldn’t have weird reactions.

I just use my old purity ring. Theres no way my rings should be on while hiking, mountain biking and such. I loove the simplicity and no bling factor. Plus I still get to use it! I thought it’d be in a box tucked away forever… here’s to reusing!

Love this thread!  Waiting for my actual engagement ring to come in (we picked it out after we got engaged and had to order it) so I’ve been wearing this one, which I got a while ago when I didn’t want to wear my expensive jewelry for fear of getting lost or stolen or ruined…I have my good stuff insured but I have a diamond ring from my late husband that could NEVER be replaced, for obvious sentimental reasons.  Anyway, here’s my stand-in sparkler.  1/2 ct equivelant center, about 1 ct total I’d guess? In the last pictures I was playing and trying it on with my sister’s diamond eternity band…but I don’t know the specs on that LOL.  Sorry they’re so huge, they’re cell phone pics and I have no idea how to change the size Wink
