SO loves all the pawn shop shows on TV, so he’s been wanting to go into pawn stores lately. Today we went into the biggest one in our town, and I was trying to be a good girl and not run straight over to the rings. but he walked over there and said, “Wow, look at all the rings!” So I took the opportunity to take a look and point out one I really liked . It isn’t much, I suppose, but the fact that he mentioned them and we had a short conversation about them was, I feel, a good way to ease into us actually looking at rings together on purpose.
So I’m just in a simley mood and wnated to share

You’re in NO way crazy! It’s definitely exciting when one’s SO shows signs of “getting” jewellery in any way. My SO and I were looking at wedding rings for him tonight (not leaving him out while we’re getting my ering together), and c. half an hour later he said out of nowhere “I didn’t think I’d be that interested in rings, but now I get why you like looking at those. I’ll have another look tomorrow”.
I kept it cool, but was grinning inside. You can grin inside too! 😀

Even little bitty steps in progress are huge for us waiting girls! I think it’s great he’s become more open to talking about it!

it was sort of like this one, but the center stone was a little smaller i think. i didn’t think i would like a yellow diamond, but the one at the pawn shop was sort of a golden yellow instead of lemony yellow. perhaps it wasn’t a yellow diamond, might have been some other yellow stone

WOW – that’s a great reason to be excited. I almost fainted when my SO said “let’s go see him” about a guy who sells rings. I almost fainted. Turns out he doesn’t sell diamonds, but we didn’t know that from the conversation we had with two of our friends.
