Every time I go into PetSmart I threaten to bring ALL the cats home.  It’s hard not to!

Nobody likes to go with me to petstores anymore because they know I’m going to whine and beg for every creature in the store. Theres one pet store where all the small animals are hand tame, and you’re allowed to pet them, and I’ll seriously spend hours in there just petting as many animals as I can. And I get irrationally upset when someone else comes over wanting to pet them too.

@RenoSweeney24:  I worked in a petco for a year… I ended up with a chinchilla, a ferret, and a colobian skink. ‘Nuff said.

If I could buy a pet everytime I went to a pet store, I’d have a puffer fish, snake, chinchilla, parrot, etc… Haha I wish I could have one of each.

I went into PetSmart in the US when I was there last year, and oh my goodness. Cuteness overload! I had bought jackets for my dogs elsewhere but there were so many cute outfits there as well!! Plus the variety of pets! Ferrets, turtles, chameleons, hamsters, snakes and spiders (which I definitely avoided!) along with the more common rats, fish, dogs, cats. Plus I saw people with their pets in the store, which isn’t allowed here but I love!

The last 3 times I have gone into Petsmart, I have bought a fish. I already have 12 fish now and I just can’t help myself! It doesn’t help that fish are cheap! I always want to take home a couple of hamsters as well, but I don’t. I just watch them for a super long time at the store, but never buy one.

@Jacqui90:  You cant bring pets to petstores in Australia?! How odd. I always assumed pets were always allowed in pet stores.

@allyfally:  Not any that I have seen, anyway. You can take them out of pet stores when you buy them but I don’t think you can bring them in. But it has been a long time since I have been at a petstore here (they are slowly diminishing) so you may be allowed to now, I don’t know.

@RenoSweeney24:  The worst part about the fish buying is that I have to take the streetcar (tram/trolley) to the nearest store, 45 minutes away, and then ride back with the fish in a little container. I always get people staring or asking questions, lol.
