Yeah, it will be cool to see the entire look put together. The dress is super casual, but the right accessories can really glam it up. I’m a little confused-were you planning on changing into this at your wedding or wearing it for your rehearsal?

Dh wore a uniform for our ceremony and his “something more comfortable” was a tux haha. I say buy the dress and bring it just in case but be prepared not to wear it.  I just think you’ll feel so pretty and special in your wedding dress that you won’t want to take it off. I made it from 1pm to 1am doing full out swing dancing with lifts in my dress without much problem!

I guess I don’t see what the big deal is.  The OP mentioned changing into this dress near the end of the evening, she didn’t say she was going to wear her wedding dress for the ceremony and then show up at the reception location for cocktails in her casual dress.  I see photos clearly taken at the end of receptions all the time where all the men have lost their ties and have unbuttoned shirts, the women aren’t wearing their shoes anymore, they’re just dancing and want to be comfortable doing so.  I think it’s okay to use a casual reception dress for the less casual part of the reception.

OP, I think if the price is right and you love it, go for it.  Keep it on hand and if you feel you’re going to be super uncomfortable cutting loose in your wedding dress, switch to the other dress!

I don’t quite understand the point of reception dresses. I spent a lot of money on my wedding dress and I wanted to make full use of it on the day.

That being said, the dress is cute, but I think it’s waaay to casual for a wedding. I would be concerned that even adding some glam accessories might look odd because it’s such a casual dress.
