This past weekend a friend of mine attended a much-hyped, beautiful wedding, but had a real horror story to share.
The bride decided that she wanted her dog to be the ring bearer, and even bought him a custom made dog tuxedo. When the dog came out and attempted to walk down the aisle, he apparently got either spooked or nervous from all the people, squatted and had diarrhea ALL over the custom made aisle runner.
My friend said that everyone was stunned and just sat there horrified….no one even moved to clean it up. Then, the bride comes down the aisle for her big moment and actually had to lift her huge, pouffy dress up almost to her knees to avoid the diarrhea all over the floor.
Since no one cleaned it up, the guests spent 30 minutes sitting there trying to watch the couple’s ceremony all while the heavy stench of the poop almost made them sick.
Can you believe this actually happened?? I feel so awful for the bride….my friend said she was absolutely mortified.

Oh god that’s awful! Like something you would see in a movie, how mortifying!

OMG! And that’s why I personally wouldn’t have pets in a wedding! I know she was so embarrased! Poor girl!

Yeah, that’s kind of crazy that no one got up to even remove the aisle runner at least. Poor doggie.

@Rouquine: I know, I feel bad for the dog too….he was probably so scared. I LOVE animals but I’m not sure a wedding is the right place for them….

@Legallyblondiebride: Agreed. We’re having a backyard wedding. My dog will be around, but not in the wedding itself. I’ll have to keep her in the house most of the time anyways. Thank goodness for her no bark spray! Haha.

I thought about having my BT, Molly, be my ring bearer since she was involved in the proposal, but had decided it would be too traumatic for her since she isn’t socialized very well and is scared to death of strangers.
This story sealed that decision!

@Legallyblondiebride: OMG! That’s terrible! And to think that my FI’s biggest regret in having a Destination Wedding is not being able to bring our dogs. I will definitely show him this post!

Oh. My. God! I can’t say anthing else…..

oh my. Yeah it seems like if it was on the aile runner that they should have rolled it up and threw it away. Where was the master of ceremonies?

This is beyond awful. I can’t quite figure out what should have happened, like how it could have been handled better…I mean who is going to step up to clean up diarrhea?! I’m hoping my day of coordinator that I’m paying so much for would jump on that grenade. Ugh how awful.

Oh wow! How awful…I can’t believe no one did anything about it…
