@RockStar33:  My wedding party has been awesome so far!  They are all family or SO’s of family so it’s a very close group I am lucky to have.  My sisters are my 3 BM’s and they have travelled to go dress shopping (at least 2 hours away each time) numerous times without even a sigh of frustration.  I am actually going home this weekend for a long weekend of planning with my sisters so we can get some DIY projects underway.  And this was THEIR idea, not mine.   I didn’t want to ask them to do much because i didn’t want to be all pushy and demanding, but they keep asking me for things to do!  So I’m going to enjoy it while it lasts and hopefully I won’t be back here in 5 months with a Bridesmaid VENT post lol

I stopped asking my bridal party for help about 3 months into the planning because half the time they ignored my emails.  They do not offer help, but they do offer opinions.  It’s not the situation I thought it would be but it’s not terrible either.  I just keep repeating that famous Wedding Bee mantra to myself….”no one cares as much about your wedding as you do”.

I adore my wedding party! They a spread out all over the country, so I didn’t expect much other than showing up at the wedding and they have totally gone above and beyond!

I love my girls! They’ve gotten their stuff together easily and are always willing to handle my wedding crazyness.

My party has seriously gone above & beyond my expectations. They haven’t complained about travel, the fact my wedding is a Sunday…nothing! In fact, I keep trying to be accomodating (letting them pick their own dresses & shoes, trying to offer reasonably priced options, funding things during the wedding w/e) and they keep telling me “It’s your day! We’ll do whatever you want, stop worrying about it!”. Even the groomsmen!

I’m on a tight budget, but I’m doing my best to cover a lot of the things during my wedding weekend as part of my thank you to them. They definitely deserve it. They’ve done so much, I just want to take as much of the burden off of them as possible.
