I think it would be too much, but then again, I’m not a big tiara fan.  But if it’s your thing, then I say go for it!

I’m doing veil and tiara, and think it can look very beautiful, especially with a simple dress. It’s definitely not for everyone, but I think it can give a great princess feel!

I think it depends on your venue and how ornate your gown is.  If your venue is more formal I’d say go for it.  If the bodice of your gown is heavily beaded, you might want to skip the tiara.  And you could always do the veil for the ceremony and switch to the tiara for the reception 🙂

@Digital_Geisha:  I think a tiara would finish the look nicely.  And while I’d suggest removing the veil for the reception, I think the clean lines of the gown would work fine with both veil and tiara for the ceremony.  I’m having a small wedding at an elegant country inn and plan to rock both veil and tiara myself.

Your dress is beautiful! I love what you have chosen. It sounds like it will go beautifully with the venue. The tiara is beautiful. but I wonder if it would take away from the dress. You have some beautiful beading/glam on the dress – that the tiara would draw the eye up. In my opinion, I find the tiara a bit big for the dress – it sits high. You want people to see you first, and then your details – I wonder if they would see the tiara first. You could buy it and choose the day of when it all fits together. Could also depend on what you are doing with your hair and where it sits.

As for the combination – a veil and tiara would be fine together – I have a hair flower piece that will be worn slightly to the front, and a veil, and will be removing the veil for the reception. I chose the veil last minute because I wanted to feel more like a bride – I will see how it feels on the day of.

At the end of the day – its about you and how you want to look 🙂
