Hey all you brides out there,
I just wanted to relate my story to you in case you were considering using IDaphneBridal.com for an inexpensive wedding dress. I purchased one of their dresses this past march, it arrived late and was the incorrect color. There was also an issue with how it was sewn together (the front came up higher in some places). So abiding by their return policy guidelines I have mailed it back. That was many months ago and I have yet to recieve a refund. Via e-mail they have told me many times they would be placing hte money into my account within 48 hours and have failed to do so.
Even though $400 dollars in the wedding business isn’t much, it feels like a lot to lose over something you don’t have as a product. I didn’t realize until after the purchase that there really isn’t much I can do if they do not return my money. I have been in contact with PayPal but because of the return (and late shipping) it was outside of the window in which I could present a complaint.
So I just wanted to warn any of you who were considering using the website. Be very careful!

Ouch, yeah replicas are a hit or miss. And 400 is a lot for a replica! wow. My designer dress was only 50 bucks more.
Sorry, and thanks for sharing.

Pictures would be helpful.

@themiddlelittle: Definitely pictures! Do you have any?

Please show pics! So sorry you went through that. My first dress came out horrific. I know the feeling. My last two were perfect from a different company.

That is frustrating. Thanks for sharing.

Sorry the upload took so long, wedding planning makes time move twice as fast. If you can tell, it’s really the ribbons/flowers that threw we off. They are HUGE (like palm size) especially on the top–where I don’t really need anymore attention drawn. The lace on the bottom and sleeve/key hole back was nice –but yeah…not how it looks in the photo onine. I’m not sure if that’s how the dress really is though, or if the knockoff company messed it up. Oh well *deep sigh*
So, how lucky am I, but the whole thing got resovled FINALLY last week.
I called PayPal and they made a one time exception to open up the case (since it was long past the 45 day window). After a few weeks they gave me a full reimbursement!
The funniest part? The day before I was reimbursed the dress CAME BACK to me because the dress company had never picked it up from the post office! So now I have a dress, which I don’t like, and a full refund!
Crazy stuff. Looks like I’ll be purchasing from a store, though, for my real dress because this has been such a nightmare. Thank God it all got worked out!
